The absence of love is nothing.
Often times we look for love in our partners, friends, family or other things outside ourselves. When love is internal that connects to all things. How can we give something if we don’t possess it ourselves?
One of the major challenges today is that most people have more self-hate than they do self-love.
This may seem slightly appalling yet if we zone in on that internal self-talk, many people have the not or too pattern. “I’m not good enough” “I’m not smart enough” “I’m too fat” “I’m too thin” – just to name a few. These don’t reflect loving thyself. We may not always vocalize these words, but it’s our inner thoughts, which are often demoralizing and self-sabotaging, that run the show. According to Huffington Post Publication, Four of five Women Have Low Self Esteem. There is a clear absence of inner self-love in our lives.
The most shocking aspect of this should be the mere fact that we were not born this way. The world of psychology and neuroscience will tell you that a newborn’s brain doesn’t have the capacity to have low self-esteem or even negative thoughts. That means we were taught this. Somewhere, somehow – from family, friends, television, radio, media, etc. – we were introduced to the concept of not loving who we are and we believed it. We are believing a lie!
When our mind believes the things we perceive from our senses (things we hear, see, touch feel etc), it’s as if it becomes encoded in our brains, which forms our actions and thought processes going forward. THIS is how we were introduced to thinking less of ourselves. We are beautifully and wonderfully made, created to perfectly embody love and all the positive thinking and actions that come with it. We need to restore back to our original beings.
“… if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing.” ~ The Good Book of Wisdom
Notice the last three words of this statement. It essentially says I could have great powerful things of this world but if I don’t have love, I AM nothing. Not I have nothing, not I will be nothing, I AM nothing. No love, no value.
If we don’t love ourselves, we don’t value ourselves.
If we don’t value ourselves, would anyone else?
If we don’t view ourselves with love we are actually viewing ourselves as nothing, then thinking and acting from that perspective. This is the problem. The good news is that it can be solved. We can reverse the negative programming that didn’t belong to us anyway. We are believing a lie and we must stop. Many of our challenges can be solved by if we would turn our senses which are normally outward, inward. Begin within. There is a power within us that we only use 10% of. That power connects us all to the higher wisdom and infinite intelligence. It’s through that power we can access love and gain the appreciation for who we truly are. With that our doubtful thoughts will change. Our loneliness will disappear. Our sense of worth will increase.
The next step is to decide to do something about it. Seek help from an expert in this field and learn how to take hold of your negative thoughts to fuel yourself with love from within.
